It’s been exactly six days since I first started putting recipes into my Plan to Eat account. Filling the recipe library will likely be the most difficult process. I only have a few recipes saved, but enough to start planning dinners for a week. For me, dinner is the meal with which I have the most difficulty. For breakfast, I often have a protein shake, and for lunch a huge salad with  whatever protein I have on hand.  It’s usually something leftover from the night before. So dinner is definitely my “problem area”.

I added the Clipper plugin to my browser and went straight to one of my favorite websites to look for a new recipe. Michelle Tam of Nom Nom Paleo is a total rockstar in my book. She eats (and probably lives and breathes) paleo. She’s a wife and mother, and her entire family pitches in for the brand’s benefit. Her kids help her make dinner on Facebook Live.  Her husband created the cute avatars she uses on her website. It’s a great family endeavor.  I applaud her! Anyway…enough fawning.  I clipped one of her most recent posts.

Plan to Eat Clipper grabbed recipe

It worked! It was crazy easy!! I checked the Plan to Eat website. Sure enough. It was right there in my recipe library. I went ahead and clipped other recipes from different websites. In all but one instance it worked perfectly. For some reason, it didn’t grab the ingredients list on the one recipe. Easy solution! I copied the list from the website and pasted it right into the Ingredients text box in the clipper screen. Done!

So, my recipe library is growing slowly as I go back through my  boards and find the things I’ve tried and liked. I’ll have more to update next week. I plan to add a recipe or two from my mother’s collection, and scale recipes down for a single serving or two. I’m having fun with the site and the clipper.  Did anyone give it a try? I’d love to hear about your experience. I still need a recipe swapping friend. If you’d like to try out the 30-day free trial, click the image below.

See you next time…
